Projectile Motion Calculator
Use this calculator to compute the range, maximum height, and total time of flight of a projectile launched at an angle with a known initial velocity.

What this calculator is doing
Projectile motion is the curved path an object follows when launched into the air, affected only by gravity (neglecting air resistance). The motion can be broken into horizontal and vertical components.
Given:
- Initial velocity \( v_0 \) (m/s)
- Launch angle \( \theta \) (degrees)
- Gravity \( g \) (default is 9.80665 m/s²)
Time of flight:
\[ t = \frac{2v_0 \sin(\theta)}{g} \]
Maximum height:
\[ h = \frac{v_0^2 \sin^2(\theta)}{2g} \]
Horizontal range:
\[ R = \frac{v_0^2 \sin(2\theta)}{g} \]
All trigonometric calculations assume angle \( \theta \) is in degrees. The calculator returns total time, peak height, and total horizontal distance (range).
